A pregnant woman is dead after being stabbed multiple times In Sterling Heights.
The incident happened at an apartment in the area of 18 Mile and Van Dyke around 3 a.m.
Police responded to the apartment for a Welfare Check/Domestic. When officers arrived on scene they found blood in the hallway.
No one was found inside the apartment in question. A short time later, Clinton Township PD received a 911 call to Harper and Shook about a male covered in blood.
Officers arrived and located the man as well as a pregnant female who was stabbed multiple times.
The woman, who was in her 30s, was transported to a local hospital, where she died of her injuries. The unborn child also did not survive.
The suspect was taken into custody.
