Parents with 3 kids inside car arrested after leading police on pursuit in Detroit

A couple led Detroit police on a pursuit with three kids in the back seat.

Michigan State Chopper assisted DPD with the driver of a Jeep that fled from a traffic stop. The vehicle stopped outside of a vacant home, and the occupants fled.

Two adults and three small children were seen by chopper running from the vehicle, leaving an infant in a car seat near the rear of the vehicle before entering the vacant home.

DPD arrived, secured the car, entered the house, and located the adults and children hiding.

“These suspects showed no regard for the safety of the children in the car or those driving around them. Great work by our pilots and DPD to take these suspects into custody without anyone getting hurt,” MPS F/Lt Mike Shaw said.
