Detroit River boardwalk that extends onto water to open this summer

The Detroit Riverwalk is getting an expansion this summer.

A new 930-foot boardwalk that stretches 17 feet onto the river will be added to the waterfront.

The boardwalk will light up and is expected to open this summer.
