A 12-year-old boy was hospitalized after accidentally shooting himself with an unsecured gun in Detroit.
The shooting happened Saturday in the 15000 block of Sussex, near Fenkell and Grand River.
Police say a 12-year-old boy found a gun inside the home and accidentally shot himself. Police did not say who the gun belonged to.
The victim was privately conveyed to a local hospital and listed in stable condition.
The weapon was recovered and it is an ongoing investigation being led by their Child Abuse Unit.
