The 19th annual Youmacon convention is set to take place in downtown Detroit starting at the end of this month.
The convention will be offering fans of anime, gaming, and Japanese pop culture a four-day celebration at Huntington Place.
The event will run from Thursday, Oct. 31 at 6 p.m. to Sunday, Nov. 3 at 6 p.m.
Named after the Japanese word “Youma,” meaning demon or ghost, Youmacon is an all-ages convention packed with interactive experiences, including arcade gaming, cosplay, live music, celebrity guest panels, and an extensive 150,000+ square foot marketplace filled with anime collectibles, artwork, figurines, and costume props.
You will be able to meet the voices behind popular anime and video game characters. There will be Concerts and nightly dances featuring bands and DJs.
Fans are encouraged to dress as their favorite characters, with opportunities to participate in a costume competition.
