A winter weather advisory has been issued across metro Detroit Friday night going into Saturday.
Some areas will get up to 6 inches of snow.
Snow moves into the area this afternoon. The heaviest snow and most of the accumulations is expected this afternoon and evening, according to the national weather service.

The combination of snow and strong winds will lead to hazardous conditions, according to NWS. Arctic air arrives this weekend, sending wind chill values into the single
digits Saturday and then below zero Sunday.
