A Westland police officer was involved in a crash during a pursuit early Friday morning.
The incident began when officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the driver fled, prompting a pursuit.
The officer lost control of their vehicle near the intersection of Venoy and Palmer, resulting in a crash. The officer sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
Update: Suspect has been taken into custody.
