Multiple people were injured following a police pursuit that ended in a crash on Thursday.

At approximately 11:52 AM, a Warren officer attempted a traffic stop on a silver Cadillac near I-696 & Dequindre for an improper/invalid license plate. The driver refused to stop, leading officers on a pursuit southbound on Mound, police said in a news release.

The suspect disregarded a red light at 8 Mile & Mound, colliding with two vehicles.

A responding officer was involved in a separate, single-vehicle crash on Mound north of 8 Mile.

The officer was extricated by the Warren Fire Department and rushed to the hospital in serious but stable condition.

The 33-year-old suspect was taken into custody at the scene and transported to the Warren PD jail. His 12-year-old daughter, who was in the vehicle, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Fortunately, no other occupants from the initial crash required medical attention.
