Video captures a road rage incident on southbound Telegraph Road near Maple Road in Bloomfield Township.
The incident began when one vehicle cut off the other. The 46-year-old Bloomfield Township driver of a truck allegedly rammed a BMW while a passenger in his pickup truck taunted outside the window, according to authorities.
The two drivers weaved through traffic for miles, hitting each other several times. Near 12 Mile Road, the pickup truck driver is accused of deliberately reversing his truck into the BMW.
Luckily, no one was hurt. The driver of the truck faces a felony charge of assault with a dangerous-weapon & the BMW driver, who was from Troy, received a careless driving citation.
Road rage has become a growing issue across Metro Detroit, leading to increasingly dangerous situations.
Police are urging drivers to stay calm and avoid confrontations. “Please slow down, be patient, and focus on getting to your destination safely.”
