VIDEO: Detroit police high speed pursuit of Rolls-Royce

New dashcam video captures Detroit police pursuing a Rolls-Royce on the city’s east side.

The driver, 41-year-old Dorian Trevor Sykes, initially got away but was later arrested by federal agents. He was wanted after robbing multiple banks.

Investigators say Sykes first hit Credit Union One in Sterling Heights, walking off with about $10,000 after passing a note. Later, he robbed a Chase Bank in Lathrup Village and escaped with roughly $3,400 in a white Rolls-Royce SUV.

Officers tracked him, but he fled and abandoned the Rolls-Royce near I-94 and Morang. Sykes had been released from federal custody in February 2024 after previous bank-robbery convictions.
