One person was injured after a shootout during a party in Eastpointe Saturday night.
At approximately 9:45 pm, police responded to the area of 9Mile /Kelly Rd. on a shots fired call
Officers arrived and spoke with a large group of people who did not observe anything but directed police to possible victims further south on Kelly Rd. Ofc’s located a white Ford Explorer that was southbound in the northbound lanes of Kelly Rd. with multiple bullet holes and no driver/passenger (s), police said.
Police were advised three (3) or four (4) passengers, and the driver fled on foot. Information was obtained that one (1) victim was transported to S.t. John’s with multiple gunshots.
Evidence Techs from collected several pieces of evidence and over sixty (60) shell casings from the crime scene, noting several different kinds of ammunition, police said,
Eastpointe Detectives attempted to speak with the gunshot wound victim, who was very uncooperative and did not want to give any information regarding the incident, officials said.
