Police released video Monday showing a boat explosion in Macomb County over the weekend.
The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office Marine Division responded to the incident at Emerald City Harbor in St. Clair Shores on Saturday around 12:35 p.m.
Video shows the vessel, carrying two people and a dog, fueling at the gas dock before pulling away and exploding moments later.
Witnesses pulled the victims from the water. Both individuals suffered minor injuries, while the dog was taken to an emergency veterinary hospital and later died from its injuries.
When deputies arrived, the boat was nearly submerged, with large debris floating in the water. Fuel and oil contamination required environmental services, and the fuel dock sustained damage from the blast.
Foul play is not suspected, but the investigation remains ongoing.
