Hamtramck Police are investigating a shooting that left two people dead on Friday.
Officers were called to the 12000 block of Dyar, near I-75 and Caniff (Hamtramck Housing Commission). When they arrived, they found two people who had been fatally shot. Police say no suspects are at large and there is no threat to the public.
Speaking with neighbors, many believe the violence stemmed from a domestic situation. They told MDN that a woman was shot by her child’s father before he turned the-gun on himself.
Police have not yet confirmed the identities of the victims. The case remains under investigation.
