A deadly crash on I-96 in Novi early Tuesday morning left two people dead.
The crash occurred on I-96 near Beck Road.
Investigators say one vehicle had broken down and was stopped in a lane of traffic when it was struck from behind by another vehicle.
The impact caused both cars to burst into flames.
Emergency crews arrived quickly but were unable to save either driver.
Police confirm that only the two drivers were involved and that both died at the scene. There were no passengers in either car.
Authorities are working to identify the victims.
