Thieves Get Away with $250,000 in Designer Clothing & More During Break-In at Royal Oak Shop

Police are investigating after thieves broke into Hype House, a high-end clothing store in Royal Oak.

The break-in happened at 212 W. Eleven Mile Road. The owner told MDN that the suspects stole around $250,000 worth of designer items, including Louis Vuitton, Balenciaga, Nike, Jordan, jewelry, and Cartier glasses.

It happened just after midnight and was caught on surveillance video. The owner says the suspects disabled his security alarm.

Royal Oak police said they received a call from the owner at 1:53 a.m. Officers arrived within one minute, but the suspects were already gone. No getaway car was seen leaving the area.

Investigators said three masked suspects were seen on camera inside the store. They broke in through a boarded-up window behind the building.

The owner said he’s frustrated with break-ins happening at his business and just wants it to stop. There have already been 5 since June 2024.
