A 13-year-old girl was fatally shot at an apartment complex in Canton.
The incident occurred at the Ridgeline at Canton Apartments, located off Joy Road & Honeytree Blvd.
Police only confirm that a shooting occurred and a person of interest is in police custody.
No further information has been released. Police say the area will remain closed for an undetermined amount of time.
UPDATE: we are told an older sibling is the person of interest.
