This year’s festival features 48 live acts across two stages! Inside the Senate Theatre, the Main Stage will host an electrifying lineup of performances, while right outside, the Coney Stage will pulse with music alongside vendors and community resources. These local musicians, artists, dancers, and multimedia performers reflect the vibrant talent rooted in Southwest Detroit. From Latin, Reggaeton, and Hip-Hop to Rock music, the diverse lineup reflects the spirit of Southwest Detroit and the city’s cultural richness.
But SWFEST isn’t just about music—it’s a celebration of community. Festival-goers can explore a diverse selection of cultural experiences that highlight the creativity and entrepreneurial spirit of the neighborhood. The event invites visitors to discover the cultural heartbeat of Southwest Detroit and experience firsthand how the area continues to shape Detroit’s artistic identity.
Beyond the music, festival-goers can enjoy an immersive experience of local art, food, and small businesses, making SWFEST more than just a concert—it’s a community celebration.
“SWFEST is about trying to elevate not only the artist in our neighborhood but across the city,” said Gabriel Duran, one of the founders of SW Fest. “It truly is a reflection of everybody in Southwest Detroit coming together to put on a festival to celebrate, you know, our heritage, our culture, and just the history of Southwest.”
With its milestone 5th anniversary, SWFEST 2025 promises to be the biggest celebration yet, honoring the past while looking toward the future of Detroit’s creative community.
