A pedestrian is dead after a hit-and-run crash in Detroit on Saturday.
Around midnight, a suspect—driving a BMW—allegedly fled from officers and crashed into a police cruiser.
Shortly after, the suspect struck a pedestrian who was on Michigan Avenue near Central. The pedestrian died at the scene.
DPD officers were not actively chasing him when the crash occurred.
The suspect was later located & arrested after leading River Rouge police on a chase.
