A 25-year-old man from Ann Arbor was arrested early Saturday after fleeing from police in a stolen Dodge Durango that was tracked to the MotorCity Casino parking garage.
Around 1:35 a.m., Trooper 2 spotted the stolen vehicle traveling on I-96 near Joy Road. The flight crew followed the suspect as he drove into the casino’s parking structure.
Troopers and Detroit Police officers arrived shortly after and found the Durango abandoned on the first floor. Using camera footage, officers identified the suspect inside the casino. When approached, he ran from police.
A short time later, troopers found the man hiding in bushes near the M-10 service drive. He was taken into custody without further incident.
