A suspect is in custody after he nearly hit Detroit police while fleeing Thursday night.
The incident happened around 10:20 p.m. June 12, 2025 near Florence Avenue and Birwood Street, close to the Lodge Freeway.
According to police, the man fled the scene of an alleged assault. While fleeing, the suspect hit a curb, crashed into a home, and a parked vehicle.
He was taken into custody shortly after the crash.
No one was injured.
