A police chase of a carjacking suspect has ended after the suspect lost his tires and the car caught on fire.
The chase ended on the NB Southfield freeway near W. McNichols.
The chase began in Southwest Detroit where the suspect reached 100 mph. He later continued on I-96 until he reached Southfield freeway.
A male suspect was arrested. A female passenger was detained. At the end of the chase, the vehicle caught on fire. No injuries were reported.
