Students in Detroit walkout of school to protest against ICE, anti-immigration policies

Earlier today, hundreds of students from Southwest Detroit high schools walked out on Tuesday afternoon in protest of deportations and in support of immigrant rights.

The demonstration started at Clark Park and then marched down the streets.

Students from Western, Cesar Chavez, and others participated in the protest.

The protest comes amid increased immigration enforcement in Metro Detroit, where multiple people have already been arrested by ICE and Border Patrol in recent weeks.
