Sterling Heights police arrest Detroit rapper Sada Baby during traffic stop

Detroit rapper Sada Baby was taken into custody early Friday morning following a traffic stop in Sterling Heights. Police say they located possible “illegal contraband.”

Authorities stopped Sada Baby, whose real name is Casada Sorrell, while he was in Ram with tinted windows on Mound Road near 18 Mile around 4 a.m.

After running the cars license plate, officers learned the registered owner had an active warrant, police said in a news release.

Court records indicate that he was charged in June 2023 for driving without a license for three years, with a warrant issued in October 2023.

He is scheduled to appear in court on January 24, 2025.
