Sterling Heights man faces drug chargers after selling Fentanyl

A Sterling Heights man was arrested after he was allegedly manufacturing fentanyl disguised as Adderall pills.

In July 2023, members of the Warren Narcotics Unit followed up on information regarding a male subject living in Sterling Heights possibly selling and manufacturing various types of narcotics out of his home. Officers began to look into this information and worked to identify the alleged narcotic seller.

During the investigation, investigators positively identified the narcotic seller and learned that he had prior violent crime and felony drug convictions. This male suspect is a 44-year-old resident of Sterling Heights.

Warren Investigators continued their investigation and collected evidence which confirmed that the male was in fact selling and manufacturing narcotics from his residence. Investigators obtained and executed a search warrant at the suspect’s residence with the assistance of the Sterling Heights Police Department. During a search of the residence, Warren Investigators located significant quantities of narcotics, narcotic manufacturing equipment, and currency.

In total, Investigators seized over 2,000 pressed pills which were masked as Adderall tablets yet contained lethal doses of fentanyl and methamphetamine. Investigators also located an industrial cementer mixer and mixing agents used by the suspect to manufacture the fentanyl pills.

Also seized were additional manufacturing paraphernalia including scales and blenders, smaller amounts of cocaine and additional quantities of methamphetamine. Nearly $1,000.00 in cash was also seized from the residence along with several rounds of ammunition. In total, the street value of the fentanyl pills alone is in excess of $20,000.00. He is expected to be arraigned this afternoon.
