Sterling Heights father shot & killed while trying to stop thieves who were stealing his car in Detroit

A Sterling Heights man was fatally shot after attempting to stop a group of thieves who were stealing his car.

The incident happened at All Star’s Beverage on W. Chicago and Meyers in Detroit.

43-year-old Thair Dado was an employee at the liquor shop and was taking out the trash when he saw several suspects breaking into his parked car. He went over to them and to stop them.

There was a struggle between him and two of the suspects, and that’s when a third suspect pulled out a gun and fired shots, fatally striking Thair.

The suspects got away in a red Hyundai and are still on the run.

“Thair was a devoted, hardworking man, a loving husband to his wife Zina Francis, and an amazing father to his 16-year-old son Steven,” his family says.
