Step Into Wonderland: Metro Detroit’s Magical Lantern Stroll Begins April 4

Get ready to step into a magical world straight out of a storybook! The Wonderland Lantern Stroll is kicking off on April 4, 2025, at Canterbury Village in Lake Orion— glowing figures are up to 20 feet tall.

This enchanting event, inspired by Alice in Wonderland, promises a night of wonder for families, friends, and anyone who loves a little magic.

150 glowing figures lighting up the night, 500,000 LED lights twinkling across the grounds, and larger-than-life characters like Alice, the Mad Hatter, and the Queen of Hearts guiding you through a dazzling outdoor display.

The event, put on by Poland’s Garden of Lights, is making its U.S. debut with an Alice in Wonderland-themed lantern festival—the second of its kind in the States and the first in Michigan. It’s a walk-through experience that blends art, lights, and emotion, inviting visitors to “fall down the rabbit hole” into a world of color and imagination.

From giant flowers to a tunnel of lights. The event runs from April 4 through April 27. They’re even hosting a special Charity Preview Night on April 3 from 7:30 p.m., with proceeds supporting local charities and welcoming foster families and their kids.
