The police standoff with an alleged car-jacking suspect near West Chicago and Schaefer in Detroit has come to an end.
The situation began as a police chase but ended when the suspect crashed.
The individual was refusing to exit the vehicle. The individual was armed with a knife, police said.
Police used non-lethal options such as tasers and gas to get him out the car.
The suspect has a long criminal history which dated back from 12 years ago. He served a 12 year sentence and was out on parole for 8 months.
