J-Bees & J-Bees Kids was robbed early Monday morning after a group of 15 people used a truck to tear apart sections of the security gate before smashing glass to get inside.
The store, located on Gratiot Avenue on Detroit’s east side, was ransacked in minutes.
The owner says he discovered the break-in after checking surveillance footage on his phone and immediately called 911. He said this is the second robbery at his business in the past six months.
Having owned the store for many years, the owner says he is frustrated and angry after losing so much of his inventory—roughly $90,000 worth of brand-name shoes and clothing.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Detroit Police.
