A major water main break early Thursday has left much of Novi, an surrounding area with low water pressure and forced several schools to close.
Officials say the break is on 14 Mile Road, just west of M-5. The Great Lakes Water Authority reports that a 42-inch transmission main ruptured, and crews are working to isolate and repair the damage.
Officials warn it may take several hours before full service is restored.
