Detroit City Football Club has shared renderings of its upcoming home — a 15,000-seat stadium scheduled to open in 2027.
The venue, to be named AlumniFi Field, will be built on the long-vacant site of the former Southwest Detroit Hospital, linking the Corktown and Southwest neighborhoods.
The $150 million project, designed by global architecture and planning firm HOK, is expected to serve as both a professional soccer venue and a year-round community destination. Club officials say the development will bring new energy and economic activity to the area.
When completed, AlumniFi Field will mark the first soccer-specific stadium in Detroit, with Detroit City FC set to play its inaugural season there in 2027.
