Police seek 2 females in connection to shooting of 13-year-old boy

The Detroit Police Department is asking for the public’s help after a 13-year-old boy was shot Wednesday afternoon during what investigators say stemmed from a verbal dispute.

The shooting happened around 3:53 p.m. on April 23, 2025, in the 17100 block of West 7 Mile Road.

Police say the teen was shot and rushed to a nearby hospital, where he is currently being treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Detectives are now searching for two women. Both were seen near the area when the shooting occurred.
