A pedestrian is in critical condition after he was struck by a car on the I-96 freeway.
The crash occurred on I-96 near Merriman in Livonia.
The victim escaped from a psychiatric center in the area, according to officials. He then ran to the freeway and was struck by oncoming traffic.
The victim was rushed to the hospital and is currently in critical condition.
