Two separate police chases unfolded overnight in Detroit, one in the downtown area and another on the city’s east side.
The first incident happened around 1:10 a.m. near the Renaissance Center on Jefferson Avenue. Michigan State Police were pursuing a Corvette when the driver lost control and crashed into a pole and an innocent person. The driver was arrested. No major injuries were reported to the innocent vehicle.
A second chase started around the same time 1:40 a.m., on Detroit’s east side. Detroit Police were chasing a female suspect. The woman was being pursued for hours. Officers eventually called off the chase around 3:30 a.m. UPDATE: Driver is now in custody.
