A new luxury hotel is coming to the top floors of the Michigan Central Station.
Hilton’s U.S. luxury lifestyle hotel under the NoMad brand is set to open in Detroit in 2027.
The nearly 180-room hotel will be part of The Station at Michigan Central, Ford Motor Company’s 30-acre tech and cultural hub built around the historic former train station.
The project is part of Ford’s plan to turn the long-abandoned 1913 station into a global innovation center and community space. NoMad Detroit will take over the upper five floors of the building’s tower, marking the first time those floors will be in use. The hotel will also feature 30 suites, wellness facilities, restaurants, and bars.
The Michigan Central site, restored over six years, has already welcomed nearly 300,000 visitors and 240 companies since opening.
This will be Hilton’s luxury brand debut in Michigan and is part of its global luxury expansion, with recent hotel openings in places like Singapore, Costa Rica, and Paris.
