A 44-year-old West Bloomfield woman was stabbed multiple times on the Lodge Freeway in Detroit late Saturday night. On Tuesday, we’ve learned new details.
Prosecutors say her boyfriend, 39-year-old Terrance Labrendo Wilson of Farmington Hills, attacked her in the passenger seat of his car during an argument.
According to authorities, the incident began after Wilson’s ex-wife repeatedly called while he was on a date with the victim, his new girlfriend.
She declined the calls on the CarPlay screen, which led to an argument. Wilson told police that the victim bit him and then threw a vodka bottle at his face, causing him to bleed.
The altercation escalated when Wilson pulled out a pocketknife and stabbed her multiple times in the arms and chest.
The victim was rushed to a local hospital and is being treated for non-fatal injuries.
Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy charged Wilson with Assault with Intent to Do Great Bodily Harm, Felonious Assault, and Domestic Violence.
Wilson was arraigned in 36th District Court, and bond was set at $20,000 cash/surety.
