Police in Oakland County are investigating after a mother and her child were found dead.
The incident occurred Monday night on Berdeno Ave near I-75 and 9 Mile in Hazel Park.
Police have a home taped off with crime scene investigators on scene.
Family on scene tells MDN that a 41-year-old mother and her 12-year-old child were fatally stabbed inside the home. Hazel Park Schools has confirmed the child was a student at their school.
The circumstances and suspect information remain unknown at this time, but police have confirmed it’s a homicide. The investigation is ongoing. Stay with @metrodetroitnews
