Michigan server who was tipped $10K fired from job

A Michigan server who was tipped $10K from a generous customer was later fired from her job.

The man left the tip at the Mason Jar Cafe in Benton Harbor. He told the server he was in town for a memorial service for his friend.

A week later, the server who received the tip was fired.

The business said she was fired due to “purely a business decision” and that it had nothing to do with the tip, according to WNDU.
