Michigan lawmakers have introduced a new bill that would ban online-porn statewide.

The bill would:

Require internet service providers to use filters to block material and actively prevent people from bypassing those filters. (VPNS)

Impose criminal penalties of up to 20 years in prison and $100,000 in fines for distributing banned content.

Fine internet providers and platforms.

If passed, it would take effect 90 days after being signed into law.
