A barricaded gunman situation on Detroit’s west side has ended with a man and his girlfriend dead on Tuesday.
The incident unfolded in the area of Livernois and W Davison early this morning.
Detroit Police responded to the home after getting reports of a woman being held hostage by her boyfriend. When they got to the house, they found the woman’s two children, ages 11 & 17, outside.
They told police that their mom and her boyfriend got into an altercation.
Police declared a barricaded situation before they eventually made entry and found both of them dead.
At this time, investigators believe the boyfriend fatally shot his girlfriend before he turned the gun on himself.
