A 27-year-old Detroit man is facing multiple felony charges following an investigation into a series of vehicle break-ins across metro Detroit.
On the morning of Thursday, February 13, 2025, around 9:45 a.m., West Bloomfield police received numerous calls from residents reporting that their vehicles had been broken into overnight.
Victims reported the theft of wallets, credit and debit cards, Social Security cards, driver’s licenses, and other personal belongings. The investigation led law enforcement to identify an alleged suspect — 27-year-old Wesley Brandus Tabor, according to a news release by West Bloomfield police.
The case was presented to the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office, which issued a five-count felony arrest warrant. Tabor was taken into custody without incident and arraigned in the 48th District Court. A magistrate ordered a $1 million cash or surety bond, with no 10% provision.
Following his arrest, detectives executed a search warrant at Tabor’s residence and searched the vehicle he was driving at the time of his arrest. During the search, police say they recovered a large quantity of stolen property, including:
• 75 credit cards
• 12 driver’s licenses
• 4 Social Security cards
• 1 passport
• 1 credit card reader
• 2 vehicle scanners
• 10 wallets
• Multiple cell phones and electronic devices
• Several sets of car keys
• 1 stolen vehicle
• 2 stolen license plates
• A large sum of cash
• 1 stolen gun with ammo
