Man wanted for allegedly exposing himself multiple times to young girls in Oakland County

Detectives with the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public’s help identifying a man who exposed himself several times to a group of pre-teen girls outside two Rochester Hills businesses.

The incident took place on June 29, shortly before 4 p.m., outside Shake Shack at 66 N. Adams Road and the Barnes & Noble bookstore at 200 N. Adams Road in the Village of Rochester Hills.

“We are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and apprehending this disturbing individual,” said Sheriff Michael Bouchard. “Repeatedly targeting young girls and exposing oneself is not only vile – it’s a serious crime. History has shown that this kind of behavior can escalate into even more dangerous acts, including sexual violence. Now is the time to intervene and stop it before it goes any further.”

The man is described as a white male, approximately 20 to 30 years old, with blondish-brown hair. He was last seen wearing sunglasses, a gray collared shirt, and greenish-gray cargo shorts.

According to investigators, the group of girls was seated outside Shake Shack when the suspect walked by and lifted his shirt. The girls noticed his zipper was down and he had exposed himself. A few minutes later, the group moved in front of Barnes & Noble where they saw the same man again. He once again lifted his shirt and exposed his privates.

As the girls yelled at the man during the second incident, he quickened his pace. Several adult women nearby approached the girls and asked if they needed help. The man then took off running through an open-air food court and into the parking lot, where he was last seen.

Detectives believe the man may have also been involved in a similar incident in Auburn Hills earlier that same day.

Anyone who can identify the suspect is urged to contact the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office at 248-858-4950.

Update: He Turned Himself In, Accompanied by His Attorney, Police Say.
