A woman was found dead Friday afternoon following a stabbing inside a home on Hackett Street in Waterford Township.
At approximately 3:41 p.m. on June 13, 2025, Waterford Police responded to the scene after a 25-year-old man called 911 and told dispatchers he had stabbed his fiancé.
When officers arrived, they encountered the man as he exited the home and immediately took him into custody. Inside, officers found a 33-year-old woman with injuries. Waterford Regional Fire crews also responded to provide aid, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect was booked at Waterford Police Headquarters and later lodged in the Oakland County Jail. A search warrant was obtained for the residence, and the scene was processed with assistance from the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office.
Waterford detectives are continuing their investigation. The case will be turned over to the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
