State police have shut down the Lodge Freeway after a man was shot in broad daylight on Wednesday.
The incident occurred on the Lodge Freeway near 8 Mile in Detroit.
A 64-year-old man from Birmingham was traveling on the Lodge when the suspect fired shots & struck the victim in the head. The victim was transported to the hospital and was awake and responsive at the scene. The suspect fled the scene after the shooting.
Expect heavy traffic in the area as the investigation continues. The circumstances have not been released.
