Emergency crews are actively searching the Detroit River after a person reportedly went under the water near Hart Plaza on Sunday evening.
The call came in shortly after 4:30 p.m. for a person seen in the river. Authorities say the individual jumped into the water just west of Hart Plaza and began swimming before going under.
Detroit EMS, Fireboat 2, the U.S. Coast Guard, and the Detroit Police Harbormaster all responded to the scene.
As of now, crews are still searching for the missing person.
