A man has died after being electrocuted by a live wire in Detroit.
The man’s body was found Wednesday evening on Holcomb Street, near the intersection of Warren Avenue and Van Dyke Avenue.
Police initially responded to the scene after receiving reports of a man being shot. Upon arrival, they discovered he had been electrocuted by live wires he came in contact with. It’s currently unknown on how he came in contact with the wires.
Fire and EMS crews were unable to reach the man due to the live wires. DTE Energy is currently on the scene, working to safely clear the area around his body.
