A man faces charges after police allege he fatally shot his grandmother during a disagreement in Southfield.
Mack Tyreeanthony, 23, was charged with open murder & felony firearm. He was arraigned this morning and was denied bond.
The incident happened early last week at the Legacy Place Apartments, which is in the area of Nine Mile and Greenfield.
According to police, the victim’s 23-year-old grandson called police and said his 73-year-old grandmother was unresponsive. On police arrival, she was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect gave conflicting reports of what happened and was shortly arrested.
Police recovered the weapon used under the couch and determine the gun was stolen. Police say the suspect had a disagreement with his grandmother before he allegedly fatally shot her. The investigation is ongoing.
