The Giant Slide at Detroit’s Belle Isle is set to reopen this Friday, July 19th.
Tom Bissett, MDNR Urban District Supervisor, told MDN that the slide will be open from 11 AM to 6 PM on Friday. Throughout the summer, the slide will operate every Friday through Sunday.
New safety improvements have been made, including the addition of a landing pad.
To celebrate opening day, there will be bounce houses and activities for kids. Please note that riders must be at least 48 inches tall to use the slide.
