Eastpointe Dad Threatens to “Air It Out” After Child Misses Snack Time at Elementary School

An Eastpointe father is facing charges after police say he allegedly threatened Pleasantview Elementary School because his child didn’t get a snack time.

The incident happened around 3:30 p.m. on October 22, 2025. According to Eastpointe Police, 44-year-old David Scott confronted a teacher during dismissal, yelling and cursing in front of students, parents, and staff.

Investigators say he made several threats, including saying he would “come back tomorrow and air the place out,” a phrase commonly used to mean “shoot up the place.”

Officers from Eastpointe’s patrol division, School Resource Unit, Detective Bureau, and Special Investigative Unit located and arrested Scott within two hours.

Court records show he was arraigned on the following charges:
• Felony: Possession of Ammunition by a Prohibited Person
• Misdemeanor: Intentional Threat to Commit Violence at a School
• Misdemeanor: Disorderly Conduct

Judge Kathleen Galen set his bond at $150,000 cash or surety. (News & information release only)
