Driver arrested after crashing Durango in Downtown

Detroit police have arrested a man today after he allegedly crashed his car in the downtown area and fled.

On Sunday, at approximately 11:40pm, officers responded to Woodward and Monroe for a single motor vehicle accident. A vehicle took off at a high rate of speed and crashed into a barrier resulting in property damage, police said. No injuries were reported.

A male in his 20’s from Farmington Hill, Michigan in custody for this incident.

A warrant will be submitted for Filing a False Felony report, Reckless Driving and leaving the scene of an accident – Property Damage, authorities said.
