Police in Clinton Twp. are investigating an alleged armed robbery attempt & shooting that occurred Thursday afternoon.
The incident occurred at Golden Donuts, located on Harper near 15 Mile.
The suspect attempted to rob the place when the cashier shot the suspect in self-defense. The suspect drove away until he stopped at a gas station, where he was found shot in the chest and unresponsive. He later died at the hospital.
The investigation is ongoing.
